Let’s learn how we can run Snapchat on Chromebook

As of now, we are aware that it’s a Linux-based OS so most of the work is done through its Terminal.

1) Open the Terminal, run the below two commands  – These commands install the node.js

sudo apt-get install nodejs npm

sudo ln -s /usr/bin/nodejs /usr/bin/node

2) Now further type the below command in terminal  – that install the chrome os-apk tool

sudo npm install chromeos-apk –g

3) Get the Snapchat app which is already in your file manager or if not download the apk file and run the below command

chromeos-apk snapchatapp.apk

4) If you wish to run on tablet mode the added prefix –tablet in your command

chromeos-apk snapchatapp.apk –tablet

5) These commands will generate a Directory that will appear in your home directory. You need to copy that directory to your Chromebook. Now got the extensions page on your Chromebook and use the Load unpacked extension.

Hamburger” menu –> Tools– > Extensions, click Enable developer mode

6) Finally tap on the launch option for Snapchat and you are good to go.
