How to Fix Airpods Not Charging?

Most Apple AirPods users have experienced this annoying issue at some point. If one or both of your AirPods are not charging in their case, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Please read the tips in the next section if the problem is with the charging of your AirPods case. Check out our free Tip of the Day for additional advice on fixing Apple devices. Follow these given methods:-

Check the Charging Case

Many times it happens that you have to face this problem due to the failure of the charging case or due to some problem in it. If you frequently use the AirPods, it’s easy to forget to keep the case charged.

It’s possible that the case itself needs to be recharged before it can start charging your AirPods. Ideally, the case itself should have at least a 10% charge; else, the AirPods may suffer. Put the case with the AirPods inside close to your phone to see the battery status indication appear on the screen if you need to check the battery life.

Change your USB Cable

Try connecting it to your computer or wall charger with another USB-to-lightning connection to see if it helps, unless you have a wireless case, and even then, only in that case before giving up.

Sometimes, even though a device appears to be broken, the issue may actually be with the USB cable. Since we frequently use USB cables, they eventually break or lose their strength.

The best approach to discard this accessory and proceed to the next stage is to test the lightning connector with a second cable rather than cleaning the pins, which can occasionally get rusty, dirty, or even both.

Check your AirPods Charging Status & Case Battery Life

If you see that your AirPods is connecting easily then it simply means that there is some problem inside but follow the below steps to check the charging status and battery of your AirPods and AirPods case please follow:-

Step 1:

First, you need to insert both AirPods into the charging case and close the charging case.

Then, open the charging case.

Then, you can see that the charging status will appear on your iPhone screen.

Make sure the AirPods case has a charge of at least 10%. The case needs to be plugged in to charge your AirPods if the remaining battery life is less than 10%.

Note:- If your charging cable is working properly then it means that there is some other problem, and if the charging cable is not working then you should understand that you have to change the charging cable.

Remove and Re-insert your Airpods

Similar to the “Turn it OFF and ON again” method, just taking out and replacing the AirPods case may let the contact points rejoin properly, allowing it to charge normally.
